TUOHEY'S FAVOURITE REEL (Rogha Phadraig Ui Thuathaigh). AKA and see "Gleanntán Reel (2) (The)," "Jenny's Wedding/Jennie's Wedding,” “New Found Out (3) (The).” Irish, Reel. E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. O’Neill (1922) says this reel is a “special setting” of “Pat Tuohey’s Reel” that was published in his Dance Music of Ireland (1907). Patsy and Mae Tuohey (sometimes spelled Touhey or Tuhy) toured the vaudeville circuit around in the late 19th and early 20th century (photo c. 1900).

"Tuohey's Favorite" is closely related in the first strain, and, curiously, also in the second strain albeit the strains are a step apart from each other. That puts the second strain of "Tuohey's Favorite" in the key of D major, while the second part of "Gleanntán Reel (2) (The)" remains in E dorain.
