GIVE US ANOTHER (Tabair Duinn Ceann Eile). Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'B. The melody is in Frank Roche's Collection of Traditional Irish Music, volume 1 (1912, p. 73), as "Gleann Coise Binne (1)" (The Melodious Foot of the Glen, pronounced in English, 'Glencoshabinnia'), where the tune is almost note-for-note that printed by O'Neill. A version was entered as an untitled reel into Book 2 (No. 145) of the large c. 1883 music manuscript collection of County Leitrim piper and fiddler biography:Stephen Grier (c. 1824-1894). Paul de Grae remarks that "Give Us Another" seems to be source John McFadden's version of the Scottish reel "Braes of Auchtertyre (1)." "Farewell to Erin (2)" (a name that goes back only as far as 78 rpm fiddler James Morrison) is very similar melodically.
