"Miss Margaret Dunbar's Strathspey" was composed by Sir Archibald Dunbar, 2nd Baronet of Northfield, in honor of his daughter Margaret Alice Dunbar (c. 1908) by his 2nd wife, Mary Brander. Margaret married banker William A. Stables of Nairn in 1856.
