"Mack's Hornpipe" is No. 144 in "Dear Old Illinois," (Garry Harrison & Jo Burgess, Pick Away Press, Bloomington, IN , 2007) and was collected 11 November 1976 at the home of Jesse James Abbott (16 September 1893 - 22 December 1978). The Indian Creek Delta Boys recorded it on "ICDB, Vol. 2," Davis Unlimited DU-33042, LP (1977). This recording has been reissued on CD by Spring Fed Records. Lynn "Chirps" Smith recorded it on 18 March 2005 for "Chirps' Home Recordings, Vol. 5," CHR-05, CD (2005). "Niagara Hornpipe" is found in "Howe's 1,000 Jigs & Reels" (ca. 1867) & "Ryan's Mammoth Collection; 1050 Reels & Jigs" (ca. 1883) both with calls for a dance. I believe it is also in Cole's 1,000 Fiddle Tunes (1940).
