HOUSE IN THE GLEN [1] (An Teac Annsa Feoran/Gleann). AKA and see "Peacock's Feather (3) (The)." Irish, Double Jig. D Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is called "Lark in the Morning (1)" in Dance Music of Willie Clancy, and in fact, the second part of "House in the Glen [1]" is the fourth part of the tune usually known as "Lark in the Morning." It appears in Moylan's Johnny O'Leary book as "The Peacock's Feather" (No. 125), although Paul de Grae suggests that may be a mistake, as that is the name usually assigned to either of two hornpipes.
