TAYLOR’S HORNPIPE [2]. AKA and see “Phillips's Hornpipe.” Irish, Hornpipe (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Uilleann piper and variety stage entertainer wikipedia:Patsy_Touhey (1865-1923) recorded the tune for Capt. Francis O’Neill on a home cylinder machine in the early years of the 20th century. Philadelphia, Pa., piper and pipe-maker Billy Taylor was one of Touhey's teachers and mentors on the pipes (along with John Eagan, the "White Piper" of Galway), and the tune title may be associated with him.

The tune, however, may have an English provenance as "Phillips's Hornpipe."
