SUSANNAH GAL [2]. American, Reel (2/4 or cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA’BB’. “Sussanah Gal [2]” is a Patrick County, Virginia, variation of “Susannah Gal (1)”, which "has a different high part, closer to "Sally Ann," than versions collected in Grayson and Surry Counties" (Tom Carter and Barry Poss). An exception was biography:Emmett Lundy (1864-1953), who, even though a Grayson County, Virginia, fiddler, had a version similar to the Patrick County versions.
