I am not sure how to create a new page. There is another tune titled "Old Missouri." It comes from a field recording of Harry Elie, Dundas, IL, made 24 May 1977. It is No. 176 in "Dear Old Illinois," Garry Harrison & Jo Burgess, Pick Away Press, Bloomington, IN (2007). Mr. Elie can be heard playing it on "Hear Old Illinois: The 'Dear Old Illinois' 3-CD Set, CD 2," Pick Away Press, Bloomington, IN (2007). I recorded the tune on my CD "Down In Little Egypt," Vigortone, CD 2002, (2003). Harry Dale Elie was born 26 September 1906 and died 4 December 1986. He lived in Dundas, Richland Co, IL. Per Garry Harrison in Dear Old Illinois, "He learned many of his pieces from his grandparents." I do not know which grandparents he learned from. His paternal grandparents were Paul Elie (1828-1902) & Barbara Milldollar/Muelthaler ((1837-1910). Both were immigrants from Baden, Germany, Paul arriving in America in 1848. They were naturalized. His maternal grandparents were Oliver Benjamin Welch (1856-1942), who went by his middle name and Mary Ellen Pendleton (1861-1906). He was born in IN and she was born in IL born and lived in Pixley Twp, Clay Co, IL.
