BOTTLE OF WINE AND A GINGER CAKE, A. American, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB. "Bottle of Wine and a Gingercake" is a version of the tune better-known as "Give the Fiddler a Dram (1)," from the rhyme sung to it. On the recording by Blaine Smith the tune sounds as if its in the key of 'F', however, Smith had tune his fiddle a step lower and played in 'G' fingering.
