SOUTHERN SHORE, THE (An traig deasgad). AKA and see “Coey's Hornpipe,” “Tammany Ring,” "Wanderer (The)," “Wonder Hornpipe (The).” Irish, Hornpipe. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Scottish/English versions appear under the title “Wonder Hornpipe (The)” and printings predate O’Neill (e.g. Honeyman’s 1898 tutor), although perhaps not Ryan’s (1883) version “Tammany Ring.” See also the related “Bee's Wing (The).”
