WISE MAID [2], THE. AKA and see “Humours of Swanlinbar (The),” “Pinch of Snuff (1) (The).” Scottish, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. An up-to-nine-part Irish reel, popular in County Donegal, called “The Pinch of Snuff” appears to be derived from this tune. Not related to “Wise Maid (1).”
