Joe Drody (pronounced D-row-dy) was a fiddler from Douglastown, a mixed anglo-francophone community at the tip of the Gaspé peninsula. The reel was in the repertory of fiddler Erskine Morris (1912-1997), also originally from Douglastown, who recorded in in 1990 on a home cassette.
