SLIGO CHORUS, THE ("Claisceadal Sligaig" or "Luinneog Sligig"). Irish, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The tune is a distanced variant of the more well-known "Chorus Jig (1)." See also the related “O'Rourke's.” Variants of the first strain, notes Paul de Grae, occur in "Within a Mile of Dublin (2)", "Jennie Rock the Cradle," "Jacky Latin/Jackie Layton," and "Four Courts (1) (The)"[1].
