GLASS OF BEER, THE. AKA and see "Chase Her through the Garden," "John Stenson's No. 2," "Johnny Maguire's Reel," "Listowel Lasses (2)," "McFadden's Reel (2)." Irish, Reel. B Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Mulvihill): AABB (Mallinson). A well-known traditional session tune, perhaps composed by John McFadden, an Irish traditional musician in Chicago and a contemporary and source of Captain Francis O'Neill. O'Neill's "Pick Your Partner" is a similar tune supplied by McFadden. "John Stenson's No. 2" is also a closely related tune. Compare also with James S. Kerr's "Piper's Glass (The)."
