"La Caraquet" is from N:the repertoire of Aurel Parent, Cap Chat, Gaspesie, recorded in the N:field in 1955 by Father Germain Lemieux while on vacation. M. Parent N:was aged about 90 at the time, and well-known in the region as a dance fiddler. N:Fr. Lemieux sent Lisa Ornstein his tape recording of Parent when she was researching.
