The second of two tunes in a medley recorded by Sligo/New York fiddler Michael Coleman for the Shannon/Metro label (following "Hand Me Down the Tackle"). The name honors his source, Mrs. Redie Johnston, a melodeon player (see note for "Reidy Johnson's (2)"). Francis O'Neill printed the tune in 1903 as "Lawson's Favorite."
