MISS LIZZIE LEITH (Nairn). Scottish, Solo Strathspey (whole time). A Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. "Miss Lizzie Leith" was composed by Abderdeenshire fiddler-composer and dancing master wikipedia:James_Scott_Skinner (1843-1927), and published in his Miller o' Hirn Collection (1881). He noted with the tune, "an excellent Pianiste." There was a "Miss Leith" with an address of The Royal Hotel, Nairn, among the subscribers and patrons listed in Skinner's volume.
