"Ellon Castle" was composed by Aberdeenshire fiddler-composer and Scottish dancing master wikipedia:James_Scott_Skinner (1843-1927). wikipedia:Ellon_Castle is a ruined 16th century structure in Ellon, Aberdeenshire, located north of the city of Aberdeen. Skinner had subscribers and patrons listed in his 1881 collection who lived in Ellon (see "Mr. A.G. Wilken's Favourite").
