"Annie Dalgarno" was composed by Aberdeenshire fiddler-composer and Scottish dancing master wikipedia:James_Scott_Skinner (1843-1927) and dedicated to this older sister Ann Skinner Dalgarno, who was born in Lanching, Kincardineshire, in November, 1827. She married Thomas Dalgarno (1825-1888) in 1851.
