HARRY MUNRO. AKA and see "Coolin Roe." Irish, Air (3/4 time). D Dorian/A Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. "'Irish and very old', remarks MacDowell in his MS." (Joyce).

Source for notated version: One of 48 airs given to Irish collector Forde by Patrick MacDowell, R.A., a "distinguished sculptor." "He was an ardent collector of Irish music, and drew his stories from every part of the country," says Joyce. MacDowell also gave a number of airs to collector George Petrie, who published them in his Ancient Music of Ireland (see also the Stanford/Petrie collection).

Printed sources: Joyce (Old Irish Folk Music and Songs), 1909; No. 538, p. 288.
