X:1 T: 'Tis a pity to see M:3/8 L:1/8 R:Air B:Joyce - Old Irish Folk Music and Songs (1909, No. 823) N:Joyce obtained the tune from the manuscript collection of County N:Cork lawyer and music collector John Edward Pigot (1822–1871), who N:had the air from Mr. J. Snowe, County Cork. N:Joyce says: "In the ms. the rhythm was nearly unintelligible; the N:version given here is my restoration."
