ACADIAN REEL, THE. Canadian, Reel. Canada, Prince Edward Island. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Edward P. Arsenault, from Wellington, "The Acadian Reel" is now one of the most popular fiddle tunes in Prince County, PEI, and known throughout the island. It has become customary to start the tune in the key of 'D' and then switch to the key of 'A'.
