This tune, collected in King’s County from a Mr. McDermott, is a variant of "Spailpín Rúin," which itself is a variant of "Blackbird (The)." "Tumbling down Teady's Acre" is also a title in the 6/8 time tune family that includes "Billy McCormick's," "Paddy Cronin's Jig," and "New Lesson (The)."
