B AND O RAILROAD, THE. American, Hornpipe. D Major. Standard tuning. AB. Bayard believes this to be a "recombined" tune, from other sources. He saw some resemblance in the first strain of Breathnach's CRE I No. 211 and the first strain of this tune, and the first part of Breathnach's following tune, No. 212, in the second strain of "B and O Railroad", but it seems a stretch to make anything more of it than a general resemblance.
