HENNIGAN'S FAVOURITE. AKA and see "Éireann go Brách," "Johnny Leary's," "Johnny O'Leary's." Irish, Jig. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. Source O'Leary always paired this jig with "Tom Billy Murphy's," with "Jack Sweeney's" sometimes added as a third tune in the medley. See also the related "Éireann go Brách."

Source for notated version: accordion player Johnny O'Leary (Sliabh Luachra region of the Cork-Kerry border), who had the tune from a Co. Mayo accordion player by the name of Jim Hennigan around 1945-46 when they worked in the bogs of Kildare together [Moylan].

Printed sources: Moylan (Johnny O'Leary), 1994; No. 181, pp. 104-105.
