HIGHLAND QUICKSTEP [3], A. Irish (?), Quickstep (4/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is contained in the mid-19th century music manuscript once in the possession of D. Curtin ofStagmount, Rockchapel, Co Cork. The first strain is similar to that of Robert Bremner's "Maggy's Weame is Fu I Trow," but is also a fairly common fiddle tune melodic and harmonic motif.
