Several editions in N:various keys were published in the 19th century, and it appears N:in the Saunders 1847 violin instructor and Howe's Musician's Omnibus. N:A version of this tune in C is in the Peter Beemer manuscript, N:from Idaho in the 1860's. Z:V.T.
