WEAVERS [1], THE. AKA - "Weaver's Slide (The)." AKA and see "Coleman's," "Denis Murphy's Slide (5)," "Julia Clifford's Slide (3)," "O'Keefe's No. 2," "Pádraig O'Keeffe's Slide (3)." Irish, Slide (12/8 time). Ireland, Kerry. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. The title is a reference to fiddler Denis Murphy’s father, known as 'Bill the Weaver', although alternate titles bear the names of a number of mid-20th century Sliabh Luachra fiddlers, including brother and sister Denis Murphy and Julia Clifford, itinerent fiddle-master Pádraig O'Keeffe, and accordion player Johnny O'Leary.
