NEW BEDFORD REEL [2]. AKA - "Reel New Bedford." French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'CC'. La Madeleine's "Reel New Bedford," recorded in Montreal in 1940, is a pastiche of two Irish reels: two strains of "Little Stack of Barley (1)" to which he added the first strain of "Green Fields of America (The)."
