BOIS-FRANCS, LES. French-Canadian, Reel (2/4 time). AABB. AKA and see "Marie Sauce Ton Pain." G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. According to researcher Jean Duval, the title probably refers to the Bois-Francs region in Centre-du-Québec. Duval also notes that a version of the second strain can also be found in Isidore Soucy's "Reel du Faubourg du Québec]]," recorded in 1931.
