REEL DU PRÉSIDENT. AKA and see "Gigue du sans-travail," "Reel Lindbergh." French-Canadian, Reel (2/2 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Researcher Jean Duval finds that Boucher titled this reel "Le petit Québec" in his unpublished 1927 precursor to his 1933 printed collection. The entire reel is better-known today as "Reel Lindbergh," but the first couple of measures are immediately recognizable as "Chicken Reel" (Performer's Buck). See note for "annotation:Reel Lindbergh" for more.
