REEL DU CHÔMAGE (The Unemployment Reel). AKA and see "Quadrille canadien -- 5ème partie," "Quadrille du peuple 5ème partie," "Reel à Ti' père (2)," "Reel de Ste-Blandine (2)." French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. Montreal fiddler Isidore Soucy recorded two versions of this tune. The first, recorded in 1926, is called "Quadrille du peuple 5ème partie," while the second, recorded in 1930, was released as "Quadrille du peuple, 5e partie."
