CLOCHETTES, LES (The Bells). French-Canadian, Air or Reel (3/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB. The first strain of the "Les Clochettes" (The Bells) is an adaptation in triple meter of the verse melody of the well-known yuletide song "Jingle Bells". The same strain, notes researcher Jean Duval, is similar to the second strain of Isidore Soucy's "Quadrille canadien 3eme partie" (1926)and to Luc Michaud's "Quadrille de Rimouski 3e partie" (1928).
