CLOGHER CROSS. AKA and see "Brewer's Daughter (The)," "Boys from the West (The)," "I Will if I Can (1)," "Jude's Farewell," "(Kenmuir's) Up and Awa," "Up and Away (2)," "Hexham Races," "Kenmore Lads," "Land of the West" "Pins and Needles." Irish, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was recorded by the Kilfenora Ceili Band on their first LP recording in the 1960's. According to Gearóid Ó hAllmhuráin (1999), there are versions of the tune in Ulster, the Scottish Highlands, and on Cape Breton, Canada. As "Hexham Races" it is in Northumbrian repertory as well.
