SWEEP'S HORNPIPE [3], THE. AKA and see "Wakefield Bridge Hornpipe." English, Hornpipe (whole time). England, Shropshire. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A different tune than other "Sweep's Hornpipes" listed. "Sweep's Hornpipe [3]" was entered into the music copybooks of at least two musicians from Shropshire in the first half of the 19th century, John Moore and James Blackshaw.
