HIGHLAND ROAD TO INVERNESS. AKA - "Druimuachdar." Scottish, Pipe Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. This tune (with peurt-a-beul words) "is another of the pipe-reels so often referred to. The words describe two foot passengers, overtaken by a frosty wind of such extreme cold, that they could scarcely preserve life by trotting to the measure of this air" (Fraser).
