OAK STICK [1], THE. Irish, English (?); Jig or Air. D Major (Aird, Joyce): G Major (Goodman). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Joyce): AABB (Aird, Goodman). The second strain is similar to, and perhaps cognate with the second strain of "Jig (36)" in County Cork cleric and uilleann piper James Goodman's mid-19th century music manuscript collection (vol. 3, p. 132).
