KIMMEL'S JIG [3]. American, Jig (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Written in the Irish style. John J. "Dutch" Kimmel (whom Carlin says was "a German by birth but an Irishman at heart") recorded many Irish medlies in the 1920's on the diatonic one-row accordion. He also ran several important clubs.
