CHARLOTTE COTTILION, THE. Scottish, Country Dance Tune (2/4 time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABCD. The tune was published in Edinburgh in c. 1799 (dates vary) by Thomas Calvert, a musician from Kelso, Scotland. A note with the collection states that Calvert supplied "a variety of music and instruments, instruments lent out, tun'd and repaired."
