NIGHTINGALE (CLOG) [2]. AKA and see "Parkersburg Landing" (Ed Hayley), "Mason-Dixon Schottische (The)," "Acrobat's Hornpipe (1)," "Evening Pleasures Schottische," "Peacock Rag," "Rustic Dance (3)," "Starlight Clog," "Limber Neck Blues." American, Clog. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Acrobat's Clog (1)," also printed in Ryan's Mammoth Collection, is said to be an adaptation of a tune called "The Nightingale," but the "The Nightingale (2)" , has only minimal similarity to "Acrobat's Hornpipe."
