MERRY GIRLS OF BRISTOL, THE. AKA and see "Bristol Lasses." English, Country Dance Tune (2/4). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). First published in London publishers Charles and Samuel Thompson's Twenty Four Country Dances for the Year 1765 (No. 7, p. 4) and later in their Compleat Collection of 200 Favourite Country Dances vol. 4 (1780).
