HOMMAGE À MARCEL MESSERVIER. French-Canadian, Galope (2/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'CC'. Composed by French-Canadian button accordion great Philippe Bruneau [1] (1934-2011) in honor of traditional musician and accordion maker Marcel Messervier, of Montmagny, Quebec. Messervier, who learned to play from his father, was strongly influenced by the playing of the group les Montagnards Laurentiens.
