I MILTOWN A CÚALA MÉ AN CEÓL (In Milltown I heard the music). AKA and see "Will My Love be True?." Irish, Air (9/8 time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. George Petrie collected four versions of this air, three in 9/8 time and one in 6/8 time. Fr. John Quinn finds that Francis O'Neill copied the 6/8 version of the tune (No. 268 in Stanford/Petrie), transposed it and renamed it "Will My Love be True?."
The Hoffmann Petrie version, with the title translated into English, is based on Stanford Petrie 1073, with the ending slightly altered.
