POLKA DE MAURICE BEAUCHAMP. AKA - "Polka à Maurice Beauchamp." French-Canadian, Polka (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BC. The tune was learned by accordion player Philippe Jetté from accordion player Maurice Beauchamp, whose father, Azarie Beauchamp, also played the tune. Beauchamp resided in Saint-Lin-Laurentides, Quebec, just north of the city of Montreal but was originally from neighboring Saint-Jérôme, to the west.
