English, Hornpipe. England, Yorkshire. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. This hornpipe melody has been popular under a variety of titles. It appears as "Slayley Bridge Hornpipe" in the music manuscript collections of musicians George H. Watson (Swanton Abbott, Norfolk, c. 1890) and Lawrence Leadley (Helperby, Yorkshire, c. 1847).
