WILLY WALSH'S JIG (Port Uilliamin Uí Breatnaig). AKA and see “Merry Maiden (1).”Irish, Double Jig (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. O'Neill's "Merry Maiden (1)" is nearly the same save that one ending goes up and one goes down. The first strain is shared with "Wandering Minstrel (The),” “Dandy Scholar (The)" but the rest of the tune parts differ.
