UNCLE PETER'S TUNE. AKA and see "L'Accroche-Pied." French-Canadian, Reel (). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. "Uncle Peter's Tune" is the way this tune was announced in a local dance-party recording of fiddler Erskine Morris and Kingsley "King" Marion, fiddlers originally from the Douglastown, eastern Gaspé, Québec area. Researcher Glenn Patterson believes Marion may have been from the Line Road, either Bougainville or Belle-Anse, both nearby communities, although Kingsley moved from the area long ago. Gaspé fiddler Yvon Mimeault plays a version with the title "L'Accroche-Pied."
