CAPTAIN KELLY('S) REEL [2]. AKA and see "Monsignor's Blessing." Irish, Reel. According to Brendan Brethnach (CRE III, No. 157), fiddler Kathleen Collins also called this tune "Captain Kelly's Reel", which Breathnach noted was a similar tune in O'Neill's collections. It may be also a mishearing of an alternate name for the tune, "Father Kelly's Reel (3)."
