D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The provenance of the tune may be Welsh, however, it appears to have been widespread in Britain by the 1st half of the 19th century. Under the title "Downshire Quickstep" it was entered into the c. 1833 century music manuscript book of Northumbrian piper Lionel Winship [1].
