6/8 EN RÉ. AKA – "Hommage à Pierre Bacon." French-Canadian, Jig (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The tune was composed (as "Hommage à Pierre Bacon") by Quebec accordion player Phillipe Bruneau [1][2] (1934–2011) in honor of his friend, amateur musician Pierre Bacon. Bacon composed "La valse Marianne."
